Really. Everything runs on your phone, so there are no server costs for us to pass along. You pay $9.99 once if you want automatic delivery, and that’s the only purchase in the app.
What exactly is free?
Recording, hands-free Siri capture, transcription, AI formatting, your note history, and manual sharing are free forever. The unlock only gates automatic delivery to your connected services.
What happens on a new phone?
Tap "Restore Purchase" in Settings. The unlock is tied to your App Store account, not your device.
Why is transcription free when other apps charge monthly?
Because it happens on your iPhone, not on a server. Subscription transcription apps pay for cloud computing every time you speak; Rapture uses the chip already in your pocket.
Where is my data stored?
On your phone, and in the services you choose to connect (your Google Drive, your Slack, your Mac). Rapture runs no server and has no account system.
What about Android?
The original Android app is being rebuilt around this same model: fully on-device, one-time unlock, no subscription. It will return to Google Play when the revamp is done.
