Why is the app downloading something on first launch?

Rapture transcribes and formats your notes entirely on your iPhone, so it needs its speech and language models (about 1.4 GB). On iOS 26 they arrive with the App Store install. On earlier iOS versions the app downloads them once on first launch (Wi-Fi recommended). After that, recording works even in airplane mode. Your first meeting adds a small speaker model, about 20 MB.

How do I record hands-free?

Say "Hey Siri, Rapture this" and start talking. Recording stops automatically when you finish speaking. Note: iOS requires the phone to be unlocked (e.g., by Face ID glancing at you) before Siri can launch any app.

How do I record a meeting?

Tap Record meeting on the Record screen, or say "Hey Siri, Rapture this meeting." A meeting records for up to 3 hours and keeps going while you use other apps or lock your phone. A pause never ends it. When it ends, you get the full transcript with each speaker labeled. Tap a name to rename a speaker, and tap Summarize for an overview, the decisions, and the to-dos. Please let the other people know you are recording.

Why can't I say "Hey Siri" to end a meeting?

iOS stops listening for "Hey Siri" while any app uses the microphone. Hold the side button and say "End the Rapture meeting" instead, or tap stop in the app. You can also set Back Tap to End Meeting (Settings, Accessibility, Touch, Back Tap) and end it by tapping the back of your iPhone.

What does the one-time unlock include?

Recording, transcription, AI formatting, meetings with summaries, your note history, and manual sharing are free forever. The one-time purchase unlocks automatic delivery to Google Drive, iCloud Drive, Slack, Discord, Google Tasks, Notion, and your Mac, for notes and meetings alike. Use "Restore Purchase" in Settings on a new device.

How do destinations connect?

Each destination is bring-your-own-credentials (your Slack/Discord webhook, your Notion integration, your Google account), because Rapture runs no server of its own. Every destination's settings screen contains a step-by-step setup guide.

A delivery failed. Where did my note go?

The note is always safe in your History; deliveries are copies. A failed delivery shows an orange "Send failed" tag on the note; open it and tap Retry Send once you're back online.
